  1. I just purchased a shoemaker oak swivel desk chair, with its original copper label. It has been restored (ie painted gray and made beautiful, by today's standards). Now I have to spend hours actually saving the chair from the eventual garbage dump. But, for 40 dollars it will fit beautifully inside the opening in my Stickley desk.

  3. I have a Shoemaker oak roll top desk that I inherited from my grandfather. It has been in the family for, I believe, something like 50 years. Have you ever come up with any information on the company beyond the ad? Thanks! Kevin

  6. I just came across a number of office chairs (made of wood, wide seats and arms on both sides) in the closing of my office, they will be in my possession, they have a plate attached to the back stating:
"Fine Office Furniture Joseph L Shoemaker Co Inc 901 Walnut Street Phila."

I am trying to find out where I could find information about the year they were made possibly?
If anyone knows anything about them please let me know. Thank you so much, Jenna
