Schoenhut Harrowgate Toy Factory - 2046 Castor Ave - Toy Pianos and Village Buildings for Model Trains

Most of what collectors call collectible about the old Schoenhut Toys came out of the Fishtown factory at E Hagert (Adams) and Sepviva. There was a life after death so to speak in a more slimmed down operation and product line coming out of its Harrowgate Factory, run by relatives, going back to the original founder, and surviving in the marketplace at least into the 1970s after the demise of the parent entity in Fishtown in the mid 1930s.

The popular toy piano survived everything and was a popular toy to receive in Philly Homes at Xmas.

The Model Train Village for kids lucky enough to afford $35 Lionel Trains Sets in 1940 echoes back to the Big Top backgrounds for wooden toys etc.
