DANGEROUS FEAT.
A Photograph of Steeple Jack Hassler on 250 Foot Pole.
This picture illustrates a manner among others by which certain famous steeple jacks have been known to gain lasting reputations.
The trade of the steeple jack is dangerous to say the least; so much so that few men care to follow it. Nevertheless many of them accomplish daring feats, which are entirely unnecessary.
The illustration shows Hassler, the famous Philadelphia steeple jack, balancing himself on one foot up a pole 250 feet above the street level of New York.
