Public Ledger 16 May 1919

TIRED AND HUNGRY the Keystone soldiers reached Shibe Park at 12:45 o'clock after an eight-mile tramp. As the men came in, they were marched round the field to a long shed near the third-base line, where the 300 efficient Red Cross workers had a smoking dinner of roast beef, potatoes and coffee and cake ready for them. The men passed in single file through the canteen shed, emerging with wooden platters high with food.

WWI Triumph into City 1919 - Public Ledger 15 May 1920

JUST A REMINDER of one year ago today when Philadelphians of all stations joined together in giving the Iron Division, make up of soldiery of the Keystone State, a welcome the boys will never forget. The photograph shows a portion of the division passing Independence Hall, amid the magnificent decorations.

The parade on the Parkway passing in review before 18,000 "next of kin".
