Urban Legend of the Joan of Arc Statue Switch in Philly

Urban Legend of the Joan of Arc Statue Switch in Philly
1921

Moved in 1938 from its neat 40 year home at Girard Ave. and Sedgely Dr. to its present perch at the end of the Parkway at the Museum, an urban legend of sort regarding the exact date of birth of Philly's Joan of Arc as the older of the two statues by Fremiet. That the A-Merican's bought what they thought was an original statue only to find out in the end that it was used Paris street decoration?
