Son of J Howell Cummings - President of Stetson Hat Company 1906 - 1928, a man who worked his way up through the ranks and paid his employees a 10% bonus annually, payable December 24.
Just a handsome picture of the son of the nouveau riche in Philly in a bygone era. I was researching his sister Elizabeth Stetson Cummings who married a Navy man from Chicago in 1919. Junior married a great niece of John Wanamaker btw.
