I saw her and the prince as they exited a limo and were about to go up elevator to the old Penn Mutual Insurance Observation Deck. We, a crowd of about two hundred crowded on the back elevated lawn of Independence Park behind the hall. They stood and waved at us, the crowd hushed and then returned a very quiet polite clap to Her majesty. An interesting moment before entering the exterior elevator.

Queen Elizabeth II - Bicentennial Visit - 6 July 1976
I saw her and the prince as they exited a limo and were about to go up elevator to the old Penn Mutual Insurance Observation Deck. We, a crowd of about two hundred crowded on the back elevated lawn of Independence Park behind the hall. They stood and waved at us, the crowd hushed and then returned a very quiet polite clap to Her majesty. An interesting moment before entering the exterior elevator.
